✂️ PDF Splitter

Split PDFs,
exactly how you need

Pages, ranges, or intervals — with blank pages, rotation, reordering, and ZIP download. All in your browser.

Upload a PDF

Drag and drop a file, or choose one from your device. It never leaves your browser.

How to use this tool

  1. Upload a PDF — drag and drop it onto the drop zone, or click to choose it from your device.
  2. Preview the pages — every page renders as a thumbnail with its position number.
  3. Choose a split mode — Ranges makes one file per comma-separated group you type; Every page makes one file per page; Every N pages splits at a fixed interval; Selected pages → one file combines everything you pick into a single output.
  4. Type pages or ranges — e.g. 1-3,5,7-9. Leave it blank to use every page. You don't need to cover the whole document — a partial selection is fine.
  5. Use the quick buttons — Select All, Odd Pages Only, Even Pages Only, or Clear Selection fill the ranges field for you; Reverse Page Order flips the whole document.
  6. Insert blank pages — pick a position from the dropdown and click Insert Blank Page; it's added to the page order and included in whichever output file it lands in.
  7. Rotate, delete, or reorder pages — use the buttons on each thumbnail to rotate 90° at a time or delete a page, and drag thumbnails to change their order.
  8. Set a base file name (optional) — every output is numbered from it, like filename_1.pdf. Leave it blank to reuse your uploaded file's name.
  9. Split, rename, and download — click Split PDF, then edit any individual file name if you like, and download files one at a time or all together as a ZIP.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The PDF is read, split, and rebuilt entirely inside your browser. Nothing is sent to or stored on our servers.

Type page numbers and/or ranges separated by commas, such as 1-3,5,7-9. In Ranges mode, each comma-separated group becomes its own file.

Only the pages you selected are included in the output. There's no requirement to cover every page, and a partial selection never throws an error.

Yes. Use Insert Blank Page to add one at any position. It becomes part of the page order and appears in whichever output file it falls into.

Set a base name once and every output file is numbered from it, like filename_1.pdf, filename_2.pdf. Leave it blank to reuse your original file's name. Each file's name can also be edited individually after splitting.

Yes — use Download All as ZIP for every split file in one archive, or download individual files one at a time.

Not directly. Password-protected files are detected and flagged; remove the password first in a PDF reader, then upload the unprotected file here.

Yes. Drag thumbnails to reorder them, use the rotate button for 90° turns, and use delete to remove a page entirely before splitting.

No fixed server-side limit — everything runs in your browser, so very large PDFs depend on your device's available memory.
